Wesley Snipes stars as the eponymous Marvel Comics character in this action horror directed by Stephen Norrington. Half-human and half-vampire, Blade is every vampire's nightmare: possessed of the same powers as his bloodsucking brethren but without the weaknesses that can destroy them. Alongside his mentor Abraham Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) and haematologist Dr Karen Jenson (N'Bushe Wright), Blade sets out to foil a plan for a legion of the undead to wipe out mankind, masterminded by vampire overlord Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff).
