First-time gamer Kaede Honjo (voice of Kaede Hondo) is encouraged to play a virtual reality game by her best friend Sally (Ruriko Noguchi). Despite this unorthodox approach Maple quickly becomes one of the strongest characters in the game as she can level up by withstanding attacks.
